 LDA SA conversion - is it possible?

Hi,

I have Para LDA in 9 mm and I just wonder if that pistol can bi converted to SA pistol and if yes how

had been wondering the same thing recently. I doubt it can be done simply by changing parts.
I have never held an LDA, but based on all the photos I've seen, I would guess it would take alot of machining of the frame. A single-action trigger extends backward through the frame, while the LDA trigger goes upward through a different hole. One would have to create the hole for the SA trigger, and somehow fill the other. There probably are other differences as well.

EDIT I wonder whether there are differences in the slide assemblies.

You would have to machine the disconnector slot on the slide. They have cuts for the transfer bars, but I don't think they would be a problem. I think the plunger is a little different but would work.

I agree with Otter, I think they're would be a good bit of machining to be done on the frame.

I can't imagine it could be worth the trouble. Probably cost as much as just buying another gun.

Yes it is. Sell that one and convert it to a Springfield.
