Railed Para's?
I see in the pic thread various people buying these as late as last year/early this year but I don't see any railed models on the Para website. Did they discontinue these?
On a side note, combine that railed high cap frame with the 6" slide off the Super Hawg and we would have a hog hunting handgun I might not be able to resist.
Long story short, the railed models are not offered to the general public. Mil/Leo only. I personally don't see why they are not offered to the general public, as I think they would be a hot seller.
We used to have a railed version of the warthog called the nitehawg. It sadly is not produced anymore either.
I'm retired L.E. but not Border Patrol. I bought one of the Para O.D. green Border Patrol specials and have been using it as my primary carry gun and I love it. It usually rides with a SureFire X300 on it and shoots like a dream. I did change the arched mainspring housing for a flat one though.

Well isn't that a bunch of crap. Maybe now that they are in the US they will reverse that policy otherwise they are just as bad as HK. Although I would have to wonder what Canadian law would effect them being able to sale here. Strange.
i am not sure about the politics of who they sell to - have you looked on the EE, i picked up a once fired (literally - still had the factory grease on it) Nitetac a few years ago. the main spring was a monster (25+ lbs) so i changed it out to a wilson combat 14 Lbs'er and have just today had the first FTF on her ( i will probably upgrade to an 16 or 18 lbs'er)
looks like this (if my hot lik skillz are good)

Yeah, they offered those a few years ago, but were apparently not that hot of sellers so they stopped selling them. I personally think a railed single-action 1911 would sell very well.
Bud's has some for sale under their "Para Super Sale" section. I just bought a Nite-Tac in 9mm myself.
Para Sale
This is the one I bought:
9mm
It's interesting to note which models Para has chosen to sell. I would find it very hard to resist a single-stack LDA 9mm with a rail, but the only models that I've ever seen to those specs were .45s.
There was info on their website a year or two ago about the "Ally" series, which I was told would include some of the railed single action models. I have also been told that you can special order them. It would be nice if they had them as standard items though. I'd surely cough up the cash for a couple.

Screw that. I'll take a Novak or SF add on rail.

To each his own. The original idea was that it bolts on...epic fail for EMA/CAA. Drill and tap the sides through and into the frame like an old school scope mounting job and viola. She's one of a kind and works for me.
I would love a railed 1911 double stack .40 cal single action that doesnt cost and arm and a leg or one that i didnt have to build myself.
