Looking for a sling for my 870 Tactical, any ideas?

Hi guys,

Just picked up my 870 Tactical with ghost ring yesterday and am looking to accessorize it. One thing on my list is a quality sling. Any recommendations for one that uses the stock swivel attachment points and won't get in my way when handling the weapon?

I use one of these on my duty shotgun and am pleased with it.

I'm a fan of gear sector and the BDS single point sling

Any that work with the stock swing swivel studs?

Do you have any particular need to use the stock swivel studs? IMHO, you'd be better off running a top sling mount adapter (pretty much a piece of nylon that you attach to your stock that has a loop on it so you can thread a sling onto the top of your stock) on your stock and run any quality 2 point tactical sling, such as a BFG or Viking Tactics 2-point sling. I run a VT 2 point on my shotgun and have been very pleased with it.

Sticking with the stock sling mount points limits your options and isn't really effective. They're designed for use with a standard carry strap which is fine for lugging a field shotgun around the woods on a hunt, but aren't very good in other situations.

I like the Specter Gear. I use the butt stock .. harnes with the sling on the support side I then attach the other end to the sling slot on my Wilson mag tube extension. I will post a picture this evening.
