Beware ordering plates from Galls for the time being...
I have had such a hell of a time dealing with Galls since they sent me a MaxPro plate basically bouncing around in an oversized box with no real padding. The only thing in the box other than the plate was some of that stupid packing product that looks like a bunch of inflated sandwich bags linked together....completely worthless in this application. Of course the plate was face down on the bottom of the box when I opened it. I tried explaining to a supervisor in ordering/CS at Galls why this was unacceptable, but she gave exactly 0 fucks, told me they had nothing to do with shipping, and could only pass along any requests for packaging, with no guarantee it would be any different the next time around.
The gentleman I spoke to at Ceradyne did not seem amused at the way Galls was shipping out the product, was not prepared to tell me that it is safe to keep the plate, and told me that the Galls shipping department would be contacted about their shipping methods. Hopefully they get their shit straight soon enough.
Sorry for the bad experience that sucks ! Are you planning on getting your plates X-ray'd ?

Negative, returning it as damaged. I was fully prepared to just do an exchange, and actually buy a second one, if they were willing to just tell me they would package them correctly. They were unwilling to do so, so I am unwilling to do business with them.
Check uscav they seem to sell the same plates and maybe you can ask about packaging ?

It would be funny if they just repackaged the one you sent back and had it resent to you.

They're numbered.
I've ordered more than one plate from Galls and they were all packed well enough.
After watching the test video I'd think it would take a hell of a drop to crack one, but I wouldn't chance it either.

Welp, go ahead and add US Cavalry to the list of shitty companies that won't sell body armor to a "civilian" under any circumstances.

This just chaps my ass! I like US Cav, but if this is the case I may have to rethink that position.

It's always been their policy.
