I'm not a member of the CMP, so can I scan my cards of local sportsmans clubs to order? Also do I need my birth certificate? Or is a driver's license ok?
That comes to basically $9 per box of 500rounds, which is half the price of walmart.
Ok....as for ordering stuff from the CMP check this out..............
Ammunition, parts and other surplus items may be ordered by phone, fax, or online if CMP has proof of customer eligibility on file.

No, it basically comes to $11.50 a brick after you add the shipping charges

which still isn't too bad when compared to wally world!!! Buy some and I'll give someone 15 shipped for 500!!LOL!! The club I'm in isnt a cmp affiliate!!! DOH!!!
There is a reason why it's so cheap....anyone who shoots Remington 22LR knows it's garbage ammo. It's dirty and unreliable. I personally wouldn't shoot this ammo if it was free

OK so if anyone has some for free I'll take Joemal's share!!!!

I bought two cases about 10 years ago. It's good practice/plinking ammo but if it's like the stuff i got, expect to get one or two misfires per 100.

Like I said..... I'll take all freebie junk ammo anyone wants to get rid of!!

$11.50 for 500 rds of Remington 40 gr.
or
You could pay, about $15+ (on sale) for 525/550 rds of Remington (or Federal) promo 36 gr. stuff.
Well, my rifle likes the 40 gr ammo.

And, at that price I don't expect it to be MATCH AMMO.
Remember the ammo shortages of a few years ago? Some of us paid about $18+ for 550 rds of 22LR Federal value pack ammo at Wally World. Not to mention the limits.
Laugh if you want. But, I'll have my stash.
Aloha, Mark
PS.....I've ordered 4 cases.
CMP is out of this ammo

I have had good luck with some stuff that was very recently made. The CMP stuff is probably not recently made...........
Sounds like it might be decent revolver or lever action ammo.
Was missing some paperwork.
Faxed them a copy, went to order and.........SOLD OUT!?!?!?!?!
WTF!!!! I thought everyone was saying how crappy this ammo was and there would be plenty left.
