I'll start off

Here is my RC S/147 1937 in a Laminated Stock. Shellac removed, and just tru oiled her up.

Bought it from AIM back in the good times when you could get these for sub 250$

Bore is almost Mint, its honestly one of my favorite C&R Bolt action guns that I own.

This one is one i hopefully will NEVER sell

Weather was great today, so i took some pics.

Well, I wasn't sure if you considered the M24/47 or M48 as "98's" , so I left them out.

Thanks!

Yugo M98. Cant really tell the manufacturer or date as the Yugos scrubbed off most of the german marking...Still some nazi eagles on the trigger assembly and whatnot however...Stock and receiver match, both 3081 S....I got it for 200 dollars even at a gun show about 2 years ago, which is a fair price for NY. Barrel is great and is very accurate.

ETA : Wow that is a horrible pic, new one later!

it's worthless. I's the original concept for the ACOG style optic, but gone wrong.

It's a RC, but there are no X's and all original markings are intact. Also it wasn't reblued.

Bringback bcd 4. Fairly typical bolt-mismatch (bolt matches itself, rest of rifle matches receiver). Not much bluing left, though. Bore is good.

Here is my M48 sniper. It came with the ZRAK bases and I had to scrounge for the rings. I figure one day I'll find a ON scope for it that they don't want a mint for. Meh....Great shooter as is.

These are as bad as BRD. You can't stop at one or two rifles!

I'll start with newest finds and work back.

M48BO sun $200 off Gunbroker.

M48BO with Syrian crest sub $200 rifle off GB. The cracked hand guard scared off the bidders i guess, made invisible repair.

Yugo capture MOD98, sub $170 off GB. Closed on a three day weekend, no bidders.

M1924 in original stock and matched bayonet, local find for $300. It was real nasty when I took it home, cleaned up OK. The original stock would have been a shellac finish, but it had to much oil soaked in so I used blo.

These parts are all matching serial number.

M24/52C, Yugo rework of the VZ, all matching rifle and was $250 local.

M24/47, a local find with a Mojo sight and 1K of surplus ammo for $300.

Top one started this madness, a M48, was a Mitchells package I found at the LGS for $225 complete.
Second is a M48A off GB, and the 24/52C

Weell, I got some of them krappy ol 98ks.
The first rifle in this photo is an all matching vet bring back (my uncle) byf 44, the 2nd is a 945 1940 G33/40 mountain carbine.
The rest are my Borgiswald - S/243. 243 u. ar - und Ermas - S/27, 27 u. ax. this foto was taken in 2007. I have since added several rifles and now have every year for Borgiswald and am only missing an S/27G of having all of the Ermas.
The 2nd photo is my high turret 98k sniper. It is an S/42 1936 bolt mismatch from the family of the vet that brought it home.

Well I guess I won't post any photos since this site doesn't allow me to get into my computer to transfer photos.

My lucky find:

I have many other images of this rifle if interested. The front site blade is the only non matching part.

Mine is also a "42" code 1940 Mauser Oberndorf Rifle, all matching (even capture screws and stock)except of course the bolt, and this one is Luftwaffe instead of Army, it has the L under the two waffenampts. There is a small GERMANY import stamp on the top of the barrel.

The age of the wood on all the rifles shown is just remarkable beautiful! I really need to get off my 6 and pick up one! I'm assuming being 65+ years old not all of them are safe queens. So what kind of groups are the shooters getting?
