That is an archived thread but with all the phone to NV threads, I'm wondering if anyone saw anything like this at SHOT or if anyone is making anything.
I'm thinking I can use the Go Pro and a pvs14 underwater in a tank for diagnostics for a system I am working on. [I need to look at the operation of a diffuser under media ]
Of course if it also works on my gun, that will be a bonus.
Another question I have is why couldn't I use it as a sight? EoTech/Aimpoint with a PVS14 mounted to the GoPro with the LCD piggyback? Just look at the LCD to make the shot?
Can you connect lenses to the GoPro? You might have better luck with the ContourHD as you can get a lens replacement kit, plus enough step-down rings to use the SLR mount. You can also use an iPhone as a screen so you could have a nifty little corner shot type of thing going. However, it's not waterproof without the case so that might bone you. Then again, I don't think the PVS-14 is dive rated so you might not have the option of using it in the water to begin with.

I think the newest PVS-14s are but all the MUM are rated for 66'

I wandered into this thread looking to do same: happened to be making an iPhone adapter for PVS-14, and started thinking about making my mount adaptable for a GoPro h2 while I was at it... But just sticking the GPH2 up to the -14, the vignette effect is huge, even played around withturning the FOV setting to narrow... Good picture, just total barrel effect.
For your underwater, I'd just use some big dive lights and the underwater lens kit for the GP.
