....or something of the like.......I want to do an experiment.
I'm getting ready to spray all the plastic on my dirt bike with a bed liner kit......and wanted to see how it would change the properties of a couple helmets I have......but didn't want to ruin a good helmet....or make it so heavy that it was pointless (weight without being ballistic that is).
PM me if you have one to sacrifice......or post here if you can think of any pros and cons of doing this.
BTW...I'm shooting OD.
Thanks
PS....Mods....If the experiment works well....I'll post results here....for NVDs is why I have helmets.....

Before....just as it comes from TNVC....XL Alpha half shell
after the bed liner....
It added a few oz to the weight.....haven't decided if I'll paint it.....added a ACH 4 pt chin strap.
way more rigid than it was before.
Looks good. Now for the testing. Whack it with a stick and lets see how it holds up.

I believe they are already coated.....with essentially the same stuff
That really looks good. I have a couple of questions; 1. Does that helmet have any ballistic protection, or is it just something to protect you brain bucket should you take an unplanned dismount from your vehicle? 2. If it is just to protect your head, will any bicycle helmet provide a stable platform for mounting night vision equipment?
I am big believer in using the bed liner as I've done that to a couple of rifle projects that worked out well. It looks like you have a good dimpled surface that will aid in camoflage by helping to break up the outline of your helmet.
