1200 Series Stock Kote
First off, I tried searching for answers but the search function is not working for me (http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_3/1287996_search_function__does_it_even_work_.html&page=1#i32375638) guess one has to pay for the search function to be of any use.
I want to finish a wooden cleaning stand. I'm looking at the 1200 Series Stock Kote (http://www.kgcoatings.com/protective-coatings/1200-air-cure/) in either black or clear (use over black paint).
Has anyone used this stuff? I'm trying to keep cost down but I want a durable finish that will hold up to harsh bore solvents.
I also looked at Aluma-Hyde II liquid but the thinner is outrageously priced. Does anyone know if a store bought thinner will work?
Which of the two finishes is more durable?
