Is there a way to do this? Someone mentioned being able to do this in the EE. I'ver searched and looked through all 7 pages of tthis sub forum. I find nothing...

If it matters, I have a magpul stock in black I'd love to turn foliage.

Like he said, you can only go from light to dark.

So Krylon then...

Does anyone use Rustoleum insted of Krylon? No one around me stocks Krylon in the ultra flat but everyone has the Rustoleum stuff.

are you talking about dying or painting? People dye furniture with RitDye.

Can you go from black to foliage with that dye? If I can't dye it I will paint it.

No, black is black and that's it. Like it's been said, you can only go from light to dark and not dark to light.

Rust-Oleum paint is superior to Krylon. They have a lot higher solids content, which means Rust-Oleum hides better and puts down a heavier film once the solvents evaporate. If you want somethimg really heavy duty, Rust-Oleum Industrial has a true 2 part epoxy spray epoxy (tan or gray only) that's about $25 a can. It,s the toughest spray paint in the world and only available at industrial supply shops, like Grainger.

So why does everyone seem to use Krylon instead of Rustoleum? I can find all sorts of ultra flat Rustoleum around me...

Maybe because it's cheap?

I have had pretty good luck with This
It's actually made for plastic, and bonds much better IMO.

The regular Rustoleum ultra flat is about the same price per can as the Krylon. I just wanted to make sure it doesn't flake off or anything big. Thanks guys!

What about dying Magpul flat dark earth to Magpul OD green. If it is possible what is the procedure.
