 Contact Areas

So I'm about 80% convinced I should re-color my AR15, and maybe my FNX slide. However one thing keeps bugging me.

Do you coat the contact areas in the firearms? For the AR-15 do you coat the inside of the upper? You must have to tape off the chamber and gas tube right? What about the lower? Do you fully disassemble and paint the interior? What effect does the added thickness have on function and reassembly? How much sanding and prepping do you need to do to the parkerized parts to get the paint to stick(at the easiest level)?

For pistol slides, do you coat the areas that contact the rails? What about the spots that contact the barrel or the round? Again, does the added thickness effect the function? What about coating the barrel itself? At what point do you stop to avoid fouling the crowning or feed ramp?

Any in-progress pictures showing exactly where you do and don't spray would be Greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for the help!!

We coat AR's uppers and lowers inside and out unless the customer requests us not to (except for the chamber and bore).

We coat the frame and slide rails on semi auto pistols. As long as you dont go crazy you wont have problems. Remember to use just enough coating to get complete coverage.

Edit: If you run into problems or have a question give me a call 816-401-6914

Thanks! I was pretty sure that was the case but I just hadn't seen it written out. I appreciate the offer. I will give you a call if I get hung up.
