Just finished Cerakoting my 6.8 this weekend in OD green and Sniper gray. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results of my first attempt. Had a little trouble getting the flattest, most even finish, but you can only tell at a certain angle in the right light. Slight slight overspray in a couple of nooks and crannies, and a lot of trial and error. I expect the next project to go much smoother. Pics in about 5 days once it cures! Wish me luck on reassembly!

The Cerakote is partially cured after a day, so lets see some pre-installed photos!

Going to put her back together soon. One problem Im having is getting a consistent, even coat. My first attempt ran all over the place, I think my next one was too thin. I was using a Kobalt hvlp gun, now I've got the one from NIC on order. I just think it will work better. Overall, I felt like the air dry is just coming out a little too glossy for my preferences....figuring it out I guess!
