apply tru/tung oil before or after laser engraving stock?
I am going to have a design laser engraved onto my stock. It will be stained, however i'm not sure if i should apply the many coats of tru/tung oil, then have it engraved, then apply a few more to cover the design....... or do i have it engraved first and then go over the design? Its not going to be a standard shape, so taping it off will be impossible... which order am i supposed to do this in? (and the engraver i'm using does do wood, however isn't a firearm enthusiast)
