Does duracoat hold up on a stainless barrel?

I've duracoated my upper, lower, A2 stock and Alpha rail a flat tan color (not the exact color I wanted but it is done). My 18" WOA barrel will not be here for a while more. Question is, does the duracoat stay on the barrel when it starts to heat up with useage? or should I just leave stainless.

Thanks.

I duracoated a SS bull barrel five or six years ago, it gets carried thru brush a half dozen times a year and maybe shot 50-100 rds per year, never really heated up though; very, very little wear.

It will hold up fine on the barrel. I suggest you blast it first to give it something to bond to.

Use aluminum oxide to blast it as glass beads tend to polish the surface.

Thanks for the response. I like your paint job. I haven't added a second color yet but the base looks like your khaki.

That light khaki is actually the last coat, the first coat was the dark brown, second was the medium brown.
