hi all

title says it all. looking for 1911 in 10mm and not a kit gun. was wondering about the choices available. wonder if the "cracking frame" issue has been resolved with the new recoil systems.

thanks

The cracking frame problem was resolved when Bush 41 was in office. Colt simply cut out the part of the frame that cracked. Works just fine.

I don't know how the new Delta Elites hold up, but my old DE works just fine. I suspect the new DE's will too.

I do recommend a small radius firing pin stop. Not an absolute necessity, but a nice, inexpensive touch.

I know what you mean on the Colts. That is where you have to check each one for fit before buying.
