Hey guys, I walked into a LGS here and saw a Remington 700 with 20" heavy barrel on the used shelf. When I looked closer, it had an HS Precision stock on it and the price was $530. The price with the sotck seemed really good to me, but I wanted to check with you guys to see if it is. What do you think? What should I look for when buying it? There wasn't much wear on the bolt or the bolt head, but let me know if I should look at something specific to tell the wear please. TIA
You said a 20" barrel so it's most likely either a LTR or SPS Tactical.
Was the barrel fluted? If so it was an LTR and you should run back there and get it for $530. If not it's probably an SPS Tactical which is still a good deal for $530 with the HS precision stock.
Well I went and picked it up today, so I am now the proud new owner of the this rifle. Now I need glass. Any suggestions?

I would also like to see pics. Ive got an LTR, they are great rifles. Sounds like you found a great deal.
