question aboiut "piggy backing" a form 4

I have an M4-2K that went pending dec 16th 2001 and a cyclone that went pending this week.
I swore that I read on here where a guy called his examiner in a similar situation and had her marry the two and got them both on the date the earlier was set to be approved.
I have since looked for this thread but cannot find it. Is this possible? If so do I just ask the friendly ATF lady who normally answers the phone to connect me with my examiner? What are the magic words, other than please, thank you, and $50?

Any help would be very appreciated

Good luck with that.

It would behoove you more to simply learn to be patient.

I feel Ive been patient enough and if my form 3 hadn't taken 13 weeks I'd be on schedule for a trip this fall. so I think it'd behoove you to answer my question or don't post.

13 weeks, hell I've waited up to 8 months on a SBR i had done. Wait till you do a MG from dealer to dealer then to you when the first dealer fucks shit up. took almost 18 months.

I've never heard of them combining forms to approve all together. If that were the case, it seems like if you sent multiple forms in together, they would get approved together, but that doesn't seem to be true.

What I have found they will do is link multiple forms so that if you have any issues, they can use parts of the applications from other forms. Say if one set of fingerprints was smudged and unscannable, they will link your pending forms together and use whichever set of prints is accepted first for all of them. I had that issue a couple years ago and my examiner said they could do just that. The forms were still approved and mailed separately and within the normal timelines for approval. It didn't speed anything up, it just saved me from having to send in another set of prints.

I submitted a package of 5 Form 1's with one trust document and one CoC for them all... all signed off by ted clutter...

one of them was stamped/approved and received a week before the other 4 showed up in my mailbox...

if your forms have been assigned to the same examiner, you could always ask to speak with them and explain that they have two forms from you, and it could definitely make their workload easier to process them both at the same time, but you always run the risk of them sticking the earlier form at the back of the pile with the later form, or telling you to GFY. they don't get paid per form completed, so whether it takes your form 6 weeks or 6 months to get done, they still get paid their GS salary.

I spoke with Chris Farris last year when we were planning on moving to ask her to send the form to my parents so it didn't get lost in the craziness of the move, or be at the mercy of USPS mail forwarding, etc... she did that for me, no harm no foul...but with today's extended lead times, them being down examiners, and the increase in forms, i don't think they're going to try to expedite things...

I tried that with Dudash and it went nowhere. You can call and try.

If it didn't go backwards I might still give it a try.

Worth a shot. If they are both, by chance, with the same examiner than it would seem like it might save them time too.

are they not all with the same examiner now that the state system is in full swing?

I'm not sure I'd count on the "examiners by state" thing yet. I just got back 3 forms and had 2 different examiners.

Um, I talked to my examiner today, and she agreed to piggy-back a third F4 onto my first, and allow me to change the first two to trust transfers, without loss of original pending dates. YMMV

I could never get my examiner on the phone, or to return my voice mails.

That's incredibly good news!

I would not have expected that, but I guess with the ATF you have to expect the unexpected.

Nobody expects this

I have gotten forms that were pending brought to the front if I caught them on the day that they approved another form. Have done that for 3 customers. That was with Snook- FWIW.
