I want to replace the PWS flash hider for the AAC black out, what thread type do I need?
Also, which should I get the 18T or 51T blackout?
Thanks!

PWS isn't a flash hider, it's a muzzle brake.

Thread is 1/2"x28 which is the standard for ARs and most 223/5.56 firearms.

Would suggest neither - unless you need or anticipate mounting one of the matching suppressors, save the $ and weight and just get the non-suppressor version of the Blackout.

I'd get the Vortex instead.

Is there really that much of a difference in weight? I couln't imagine noticing a difference between the two.

I needed to know this same information, thanks.

Is there any advantage between 18T or 51T?

I think it's just the suppressor mount type, the 18T is a spring type mount, the 51T is a rachet type mount. I'm not sure what the advantages are between the two.
