those sure are nice, i especially like their new stock
Unfortunately, when you click on them they're available mid-march, just like 17s mags from FNH lol

you can still order them at least

The original SCAR stock, is IMHO, a few inches too long and looks like a fish - which I kind of like. The VLTOR stock looks like a colostomy bag for the SCAR and I don't see the advantage over the original stock aside from storing stuff. The handguard system looks neat but what exactly is it supposed to offer over the original configuration? They don't list weights for these parts, and my SCAR 16S is already at 8.25 lb with the mini 3X ACOG.
The non-folding stock adapter is perfect for those curmudgeons that must have their AR15 stocks even if it means it can no longer fold on the SCAR. But the upside is that another vendor is making stuff for the SCAR.
While I'm very happy to finally see more things slowly coming out of the wood works I wish this was the tangodown stuff. Lol.
I think what troubles me the most is the price! I can get my head around a $100 butt stock, but the hand guard is ridiculously priced. To get an extended hand guard you'll need their hand guard, hand guard extender, and a rail kit (because one 2 inch section is not going to get it done).
CASV $250
CASV-E $80
CASV-RAILS $70
Yeah, your math is right; $400!! I know street price will be less, but it's not going to be much less. Dealer cost on those parts is $300, which is more in line with what I'd happily pay. I handled these at SHOT and they are nice, but I think after a hard look I'm just going to break down and get the PWS extension.
For those like me, that were hanging on to the hope that Tango Down is going to release an extension... Don't. There is little to no chance that will ever happen. Call them and ask if you don't believe me.

Yea I know... But still I can always dream. Please don't take that away from me. Lol. The pws is looking better & better everyday though. It's still nice to see, although very little, stuff coming out for the platform.
Meh. I like the SCAR stock, batteries go in my pockets and I already have a PWS rail extension. .

Batteries in the grip maybe. Also there is a perfect spot for 2 CR123 in the factory butt stock.
I'll be trying out the M4 stock adapter with a Magpul CTR on my 17.
Anybody know if the AR stock adaptor still fold?

No it does not.
Turns the "foot" stock into a club foot.
The stock looks like a big fat flat halibut.

Guys I was able to molest all of this stuff at Shot show and for me the new "club" foot and the extended rail feel great! Solid lockup and nothing cheap or cheesy about them. Now the modular buttstock conversion that accepts any AR stock, I didn't like so much. It was very solid and well made but you lose the ability to fold the stock and I don't like how you adjust the cheek height vs the factory stock.
Just my .02 cents
If that stock got a re-design purely for better looks, I'd be all over it.
It turns a good looking gun into a freakazoid.
why is it the only negatives im seeing is looks? what are these beauty queens or rifles?

This is Arfcom, most are beauty queens.

I don't see any real positive aspects other than extra weight.
I applaud them for offering aftermarket SCAR accessories but don't really like any of them.
I'm looking forward to trying their extended handguard. From what I understand you just unscrew the side rails and drop it on?

Nope, not according to the guys at the VLT0R booth at SHOT and the catalog. The handguard replaces the side AND lower accessory rails. I really liked the feel of the extended handguard, just having a heck of a time justifying how much it'll cost when all is said and done. That's the only negative I see.
To the guys with the PWS extension: Does it act as a heat sink when you run your SCAR hard since it more or less clamps to the barrel? Not trying to be a smart ass, I'm really curious.
Does the rail extension come wth the section that extends in front of the gas block? There is a picture on TOS.

No.
CASV $250 - Handguard only with
ONE 2 inch section of rail
CASV-E $80 -
Extension (goes on the end of the handguard)
CASV-RAILS $70 - Rail section kit
You unfortunately have to buy everything separately.
