Next Big Knife
Ok Ive narrowed my search for an affordable big knife for my outdoor adventures.
1) Cold Steel Trail Master SK5 steel
2) SOG Super Bowie Not large as the others but i really like it :)
3) SOG TigerShark Elite
4)Muela Corzo
all are 8-9 inches less than 200.00 wich would you pick to take to the woods what say you guys.
oh yea and the 8"Ka bar fighter looks good.
I have had my cold steel srk for 10 plus years
And like it alot
Own a few sogs but overall never super impressed with them
Cold steel would be my pick
Yea im leaning towards the Trail master right now
From your list, I'd say Cold steel.... But I'm an ESEE kinda guy, so I would suggest this

I'm with schwome. From your list I'd go with the Cold Steel. But I love my Junglas...Excellent blade.

Another great option is the Buck Hoodlum...don't discount it; it's a very well designed and tough blade. My version is a first run that TOPS did, but Buck's is a fine verison and an excellent warranty. Another often overlooked, but outstanding large blade is the Browning Barker-Crowell Competition knife...superb convex grind and well executed.

Yeah, it is

I've had offers in the thousands for it. It's a little too sentimental to get rid of.

I have an ontario knife company sp50 gen II. Its alot of knife for the price and got nothing but good reviews. I love it.
Ok I just picked up a SOG Super Bowie not as big as I was looking for but it was only 127.00 so i grabed it. Its about 7.5 inch blade like a Kabar on steroids , it should keep my hands busy till i can decide on a 10" bowie.

I got a SEAL and a Tigershark, ie abused the shit out of the SEAL ansit's still my go to knife. The Tigershark I honestly haven't used for anything, I'm assuming it will be as good as the SEAL if I needed a larger knife (as if).
