Hornady Lock N Load Classic single stage press
Hornady New Dimension 45ACP die set w/ taper crimp die
Hornady powder measure
Hornady handheld priming tool
Hornady GS-1500 digital scale
Hornady digital caliber
Hornady powder tickler
Hornady powder funnel
Hornady .45 ACP shell holder
Hornady loading tray
Hornady reloading manual 8th edition (the latest)
Cabelas 400 vibratory tumbler kit (includes media shifter, polish, and corn cob media)

All of this equipment is like new and less than a month old. Perfect set up for a new reloader. I've always wanted to reload but I need a parts for a new project.

Asking price is $400.00

I'm looking to get into reloading. Mostly interested in reloading .300BLK, 223/5.56, 308 and 9 mm. Would this be a good setup at a good price to do what I want?

Thanks for the help.

Seems high if you are just starting out.

I think you could do better especially since you will not be loading .45. The hornady ss press kit is $335 new on midway. It comes with everything except the tumbler, ,caliper, and dies. I'll bet money thatit is what the seller originally bought. The dies are about $42 new I'm sure you wouldn't have any problem selling them, but in the end you might end up saving $20-$30. Unless this is exactly what you want I'd pass.

A good deal, no.

A good deal would be $200.

Good quality equipment, price is higher than what I would call a good deal.

I would offer $250, I wouldn't go higher, and he needs to throw in all his left over components,

cases, bullets, primers, powder.

Any one price list out ?

We usually state used is 80% of new when discussing blue equipment. Same applies for Hornady.

Is question what can you buy equipment for used ? Or be in the right place, right time kind of price ? Part of answer is based on need.

Get the Dillon Basic Loader. You will have a top of the line machine that is upgradable will do rifle or pistol. IMO no better press available and with options added you are still in the 400 dollar ballpark.

OP, if you are only going to be loading pistol right now, I suggest you go with a Lee Turret press. Get the kit. It's cheap, and that little press will load ammo just as good as the big boys.

I've had mine for 12 years now, and have loaded over 15,000 rounds of .45acp, and probably 5,000 rounds of 9mm. It works just as well now as it ever did. The ammo has always been accurate, and has always been utterly reliable. I have the powder disc system for each handgun caliber I load. All I do is just take 10 seconds and pop the turret out, and a minute to pop the new one in and the shellholder, and I'm loading a new caliber.

It is very accurate even with Bullseye. It meters it well, just as it has a half dozen other powders I've used.

$104.99 includes everything you need except for a set of dies. You can find them with the dies already set up in the turrets as well.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will probably start out loading 300BLK. I m pretty well stocked up on the other calibers. Any suggestions for a good, reasonably priced setup to do that with?

The equipment listed in your first post, but at a better price if used.

The other posts mentioned different presses.

Great starter book. I bought it just so I could lend it out (my Dad has it right now).
