I got my RFB. (Pics in OP)
2nd Generation gas system, 14 weeks since I placed the order with my local pusher, and $1384.00 out the door. It may be a few days before I get to shoot it, but I did a tear down and lube last night.
Everything I read about the trigger is true. It is fantastic.
I'll post some pics after I get it all kitted out.
Last night I put the brake on. I haven't sighted it in yet, but I ran two rounds through it this morning just for fun. I can't believe how soft shooting this rifle is. I don't have a lot of experience with 7.62 x 51 rifles, but it is much softer than the SCAR-H. I haven't shot it without the brake, I figured I would compare it when sighting it in.
Here are a couple of pics.
The scope is a cheap Accushot 6x I had in the safe. Someday I'd like to put a IOR Valdada 1.5 - 8x on it. I think that optic would be almost perfect for this rifle.
http://www.valdada.com/product/a2655086-d6e1-4df9-ba34-42428d8b0c8b.aspx
The folding VFG is just some cheapy I had laying around. I put a Magpul one on, but I really like the ability to fold when shooting off of a rest or shooting sticks. I don't care for where my light is, but once again it's a mount I had laying around. The light is a Deereelight DBS V3 and is like daylight out to 250 yards. I've also got the Kel-Tec Tactical over-sized charging handle and highly recommend it.
I dont want you to take this the wrong way, but I hate you.
Although, kudos on the price.

Don't feel bad, I hate a lot of people less now that I have one.
Great price!

For that price!? You must be new to town or something.
I got it from Tom over at Empire Pawn #3. He's a member here, host of a couple of get-togethers, and a hell of a nice guy. He even lent us a SCAR-H, .300 Blackout, and donated a shitload of ammo for our last shoot.
Well, enjoy yours! I love mine

second gen gas system?
I remember reading a long time ago they changed the adjustable gas plug so you could change settings with a shell casing im guessing thats the gen two.

The original adjustment cap used the rim of a cartridge to adjust it. The now one has a hole so you use the tip of a cartridge. That's the easiest way to tell them apart.
The newer guns are also shipping with what looks like a nitrated bolt instead of chromed.
Here is a thread over at KTOG about the new gas system.

Do you know what wholesaler he got it from? If not, could you kindly ask?

Done. I'll let you know what he says.
Pics in OP.
Congrats

this is on the menu for the coming year I cant wait!!
Hey that is awesome, hopefully when you have time we can get a range report out of you.
Like how it groups and with what.
How do you think it will do with a grip-pod?
Also have you figured out if you can change the barrel yourself yet?
Im thinking of getting one and an extra barrel in the longer length for distance.
thanks, Joe
Friend of mine got a second gen a couple weeks ago. We took it out to the range last week. Interesting gun, for sure!
I just got my 30 round mag I ordered. It is the most ridiculously awesome thing I have ever seen. I think it will make it perfectly balanced with the can and light.

Beautiful rifle hopefully I can snag one someday.
I was wrong about the gas system -10 points for me

.
you need to photo shop that rifle to have a futuristic warzone in the background and a terminator hand holding the rifle, it would look more at home
Congrats.
Makes me miss the one I bought last Christmas, but I really wanted the newer recoil system and the flaking chrome on the bolt bugged me.
I will definitely own another one soon.

Hopefully this new bolt coating will help that.

With the 30 round mag in it always reminded me of this one:

EXACTLY
Mine's an original, ~#470, but I've had zero trouble except for with one surplus mag that would double-feed.
No piston exploding, no bolt flaking, etc. It just works.

I tried that same slip-on grip, but didn't care for it.

I've got big hands and Glock grips fit me well, it made it a lot more comfortable for me.

Any complaints about your single point sling?

Not really, but it IS a heavy gun, so make sure to get a wide and/or padded sling that you can draw up tight.

Man I love the RFB...I got to shoot one little over a year ago...was able to run threw two mags...thing is the sound wave..cuncusion wave?really pierced whatever earmuffs I had...is this normal ? .I should state I am not sure of the ammunition that was used....but the owner seemed to like the best of things...so I'm sure it wasn't cheap ammo. It wasn't the sound per say..it was more like a harmonic wave that I could feel hit me. That same day I shot a P90, FS2000, AUG,Barrett 50 and a few other large caliber rifles.
Fell in love with the RFB. But a small pin broke in the bolt assembly so I knew I needed to wait for a few updates...this was a first run rifle.
But it balancedand shoot very nice...only concern was the shock wave..
Has anyone else experienced this ?

Did it have a kydex cheek rest? A lot of it was probably coming through your jawbone or your muffs were touching the top cover.
No cheek rest.....also...thinking about it...I wounder if the part that broke could of also been the culprit...is it possible for the bolt not compleatly locking ...letting extra pressure out of the back...instead of the barrel? All I remember about the part that broke was that is was like a 7mm metal tab...it wouldn't chamber a round after it was shoot about 100 times.
Well anyways...no cheek rest...I'll ask the original owner more info.... Don't want to gum up this thread..lol

It's definitely a much louder round than a 5.56 so that's somewhat expected. If you earmuff was on the metal plate that would explain some of it. Mine had the kydex cheek rest and it was very tolerable. Shooting off a bench at my range with a roof could also be a little brutal, but outside it wasn't barely noticeable.
For sure on my list of items to reacquire when money is more plentiful.

I have Walthers and HKs at home, so anything less than $60 is cheap.

SA XDm..26ish a mag....and a walther PPS 45 per mag

So yea...great price... That said I have tried to get a spare mag for my K31 ...man are they expensive ...lol
Good to see 30 rounders for the RFB aren't too bad, just makes me want on more..lol
A local shop had one of the new 'uns. They wanted $1800

It was pretty nice, I must admit. Trigger felt like it was about 5-6lbs. Not a match grade trigger by any means but pretty good for a stock rifle, and especially for a bullpup. I was surprised by how well it balanced; felt like a rifle should. It's kinda odd seeing the ejection chute with the bolt locked back. It's about the most "right" of all the bullpups out there, me thinks. Still, the big question (which was asked), would I buy one? I'd have to sell a 5.56 AR and a 7.62x54R AK, both of which shoot pretty well with surplus ammo. At this time I'd have to say no.
Excellent
What modifications dod you have to make to the Bren mag to make it work?

None. Just make sure its Metric.
