I bought this sig and it looks like a custom config? Any ideas if what model it may be?
I know it is a 556 but what would you call it a classic scm?

Not a Classic. The Classic has the Swiss style side folding stock.

It looks like a, 556 ER (early release) with side folder adapter.

Pretty much a second generation 556. The first gen didn't have the side folding adapter for hte M4 type stock, and the third generation is the classic series.

Yeah I have been looking at a lot of sigs and I can't find another one in this configuration. Weird.

This one is from the time when there were only two main configurations: folding or non-folding. It's not rare, you just haven't seen others yet. Now that you own one that's all you'll ever see again. Just how it works.

lol, that's the truth.

Actually, I bought an early one when they first got released. Maybe......6 months after their release. The serial # was slightly below 10,000. It was one with the actual Swiss parts. I see these a lot at our local shows. Anywhere between $1,000-1200.00. It was prefect in all regards. No canted rail, fantastic trigger, solid tight feel. Should have kept it and built a 551 clone...
