wgt difference between 556 patrol and patrol swat?
is there much wgt penalty for going the swat patrol route over the regular patrol? Is the swat patrol FF? I realize that the piston system is technically unable to be truely FF But thought that if the rail is FF it would help reduce any sling induced stress. I do like the look of the regular forend over rails though, tough call. Lastly what is a fair price for the patrol and swat patrol. I can get the swat patrol for 1075 plus transfer. A local shop is a sig dealer and he has a 556 new style folding stock with a full length swat rail and diopter sights for 1125, sounds high to me, is this decent price? How much better in terms of balance is the patrol over the standard length forends? I plan to put a M3 on it, what height rings is a perfect co-witness? The m3 is in a QRP mount with a removeable spacer and also have a low and med 30mm burris xtr ring I coud use. Maybe a tick lighter then the QRP mount
