So I saw a post by another guy about Wal-mart carrying AR15's and M855 but that was somewhere in Kentucky. The guy at my local Wal-Mart gun counter told me this morning they weren't getting them and then tonight, at the very same gun counter....Poof... the ammo and the Bushy AR15's magically appeared! 420 rounds of M855 w/ammo can on stripper clips for $149.99.

Our Wal-mart has the same Federal ammo deal that you found. Talked for a while with young counter person about Wal-mart change of ideas. He said new V.P. wants Wal-mart in the current 'black rifle' business. He also had a Sig 522 rifle 'in the back', but no room in the showcase. Pushing deer rifles currently.

I've been hearing rumors about this, but your pic is the first evidence I have seen with my own eyes

The local Wal-Marts around here carry ammo but no firearms-I wonder if they'll carry this M855? I've taken the day off, and I will check into it shortly.

Lake City M855 shoots really really well in my Patrols-even better than it does in my rack grade ARs for some reason. Backpacker, I believe that your post is about to cost me a LOT of money...
