My ta31 won't, not sure about that particular model.
Can you still mount it in front of the rear sight and use it with the eye relief, will the rear sight block the sight image?

You can, but you have to really crane your neck into it to use the Acog, I think with the smaller versions there's enough eye relief to use it then,
But, you could always remove the diopter sight and get a low profile sight. Also you could remove the diopter, move the Acog where you need it and if for what ever reason the optic were to fail you could remove it and use the emergency back up sight that's recessed into the rail.
Just some other options for you =).
