Put your Sig Classic SWAT on a Diet
My son, who is a machinest andgun bunny as well took my Sig 556 Classic SWAT and his drill press and went down the entire length of each rail and drilled tiny holes in the center. mainly is areas where I had rail covers. Cut the rail weight down by half. Make the balance much better and I still have rails. He said the strength is there and it will disipate teh haet a little better. Great idea. I can pick up my other classic and the one he modified and you can tell the diff in a second.
I did something similar to the freefloat tube on an LR 308. Weight reduction was very noticeable. Do you have any pics?
AR eyou talking about the Rock River LAR 308? I have the LAR 308 20" Operator. Its front heavy with that solid meatle long hand guard. Great Idea!
