I am trying to find a larger double door safe that is quality built ( worth a shit). What are my options? I have seen a few companies like homeland security, but no reviews.
The only new double door I've seen on here was a B or C rated Brown. You may want to do a search, it was a couple of months ago. It's not an RSC but it's also not much more.
I am only familiar with Brown and Graffunder doing a double door gun safe. There is some oddball product out there, but I don't know much about it.
Most of the double door gun safes that you see are essentially two individual gun safes welded together so that there's a dividing wall between the doors.
If you're going to go that route, you might as well just buy two individual safes and place them next to each other. It will be much easier to move.
Here's a Brown "C" with fire protection....a little over $10k installed.
Thanks Krecon1. We never did get to see pics of the inside of the safe, did we?
Im actually pondering this decision as we speak. All of the safes at the local stores are garbage and the decent ones are pretty steep. I found one pulled out of a grocery store that I am thinking about picking up over the holidays. About 5 yrs old and in pristine shape, even said it has been kept in climate controlled storage. It is a double door unit made by diebold and is a 350 class fire rating which is 4hrs or so of fire protection. Atleast that is what I was told. The only thing I am concerned with is the weight, being a little over 2k lbs.
I already told the wife I won't ever have to upgrade in the future, atleast I hope not.
