are there cameras that get power over the the ethernet cable?
i know standard PoE is -48vDC and that most likely wont work for cameras, but are there any cameras that allow you to power them over 4 of the wires in a cat5e?
id expect whatever system does this would have a central dist switch that all cameras plug into that connects to your home ethernet and also puts power out over the line?
We sell plenty of poe cams...go with arecont they work well lol
A HUGE number of IP cams take standard PoE.
