The wife and I sold our house and are temporarily going to be renting a house while we hunt for our new place. My 30 gun safe is going to be staying with family for the time being and I need a way to lock up a defensive shotgun in the closet. I know it won't be burglar proof, but the closer I can get to that, the better. No kids, just theft deterrent.
Do you guys have any recommendations on a decent, reasonably priced locking rack for one shotgun? Since it is a rental, the between-the-studs mini lockers are a no-go.
I like the Mossberg Loc-Box, but it doesn't work with a sidesaddle. If I have to, I can ditch the sidesaddle, but I'd rather not. I like how it secures the receiver and the muzzle as well. I seem to also remember a corner lock with a bracket and coated steel cable too but can't find it.
Appreciate any help!
I have one of these. It bolts to the stud.

In you opinion, are these things relatively sturdy? Thinking a coated L-hook to hook the muzzle in like the Loc-Box might be a decent option.
