 Need Troy Barrel wrench

I got a used AR. It came with a 13 in Troy TRX. after doing some googleing I have notice I need a Troy wrench to remove the rail. is this true ? if so where do I get one and or will any other wrench work ?

Have you tried Troy? They don't list the part on their website, but they obviously produce it.

I know that an M16 wrench won't work, unsure of any others.

But hey, there's always the pipe wrench, eh?

The TRX barrel nut can be removed with both a PRI 5 pin or Spikes Tactical barrel nut wrench. DPMS 3 pins wrenches also work. PRI is probably best option since it runs with either a 3/8 or 1/2" drive. If you can't remove the FH (state laws, pinning, etc.) then the Spikes will cost about $5 more but will work fine. You'll just have to use a 1/2" drive torque wrench when reinstalling.
