He said its coming up next.

I don't know why I'm so excited, I already have the scope.

Same here. I suspect that it's because we respect his opinion. Of course, I'm happy with my purchase even if he hates it

Serious question as I get into precision rifle. What's the difference between the standard Super Sniper and the HD?
I have the 10x42M.

I don't know all the differences, but I believe the HD versions have better quality/coated glass.

a few differences: the standard Super Snipers are second focal plane, and with the exception of the newer models, most have mildot reticles with MOA turrets (non-matching reticle/turrets); the HD's have mil reticles with mil turrets (AKA matching turrets) and are first focal plane reticles. Additionally, the glass on the HDs, to me, appears to be of higher quality. Lastly, standard SS's have a rear focus, whereas the HD's have a side focus feature.

Now, all of that being said, SWFA is TAKING orders for this beauty:
<http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-10x42-Tactical-Riflescope-P53712.aspx>

It is a fixed 10x SS (not HD), so it has the standard HD glass, but it does have the mil-quad reticle with matching .10 mil turrets. For 300.00, it appears to be a great optic. One important thing to remember, IMHO, the glass on the standard SS's is still decent for the money. I always give the caveat of "IMHO" with glass descriptions due to the inherent subjectivity involved in comparing glass. So, to me, the standard SS glass looks to be fairly good...
