 First SBR and Possible Problem

Back in September I bought my first NFA item (used SBR AR) from a local gun shop. The dealer filled out the Form 4 information and I mailed all of the documents. My Form 4 was finally approved and I picked up the AR today. When I looked at the tax stamp more closely, I see that the dealer indicated that the barrel length was 12". It is actually only 10". When I looked over the rifle back in September, I was mainly focused on wear and tear and really didn't notice how long the barrel was (I'm terrible at judging length anyways). What do I need to do to get this corrected? Thanks.

Doesnt need to be changed. ARs can change length with an upper change, not permanent. You measure the barrel including the chamber?

You can send in a letter telling the ATF the length is changed but unless a change is permanent, it doesnt have to be done.

Somone correct me if I am wrong

He included the flash hider in his measurement. When I use a dowel, the length from the chamber to the end of the flash hider is about 12". My understanding is that you do not include a removable flash hider in your barrel measurement.
