The only thing I think I know about boating with titlle II firearms is the 200 mile mark is international water and the ATF dont rule the water at that point. So maybe you could manufacture a machine gun out on the ship, shoot it and throw it in the water when you want to return to shore.

Title II

Sorry I edited it for you. OH Now we can save on gas and go out to only15 miles to manufacture, shoot, and sell to any one that floats by and have fun at sea! How far out do we have to go out to start a government Sorry op for too much clowning. I'll stop so this thread gets back on track!

Fail. US vessels are subject to US law at all times outside the territorial seas of another nation.

I think I've read that legally there is no way to bring an NFA weapon back into the US once you leave the country with it. This was in regards to taking it into international waters. Practically though, who would know?

IANAL and this is just what I recall from this question being asked here before.

You can't export anything to "international waters" because "international waters" is NOT a foreign country.

International waters start at 12 miles, the Exclusive Economic Zone extends to 200nm, they are two different things.

i have don't have any advice for the OP but this is interesting. may i ask what you are planning on doing? but if you are shooting that far out and are visited by coast guard can they give you any shit for it? as long as everything is good i can't see why not.... right?

that's also is an interesting idea, go out with a cheap $80 lower, make it FA then toss it over when done.

I think the US Vessel is in regards to US Registered vessels......not quite the same as a
30 ft fishing boat.

US vessel is any vessel that is state registered, federally documented, or owned in whole or part by an American citizen. USCG BO sends.
