Too much barrel sticking out for my taste and I'm not a huge fan of off set sights. But it sounds like a quality build.

Ya, I usually run a longer rail too.
But, I wanted to try a URX so I am and I'm betting this thing will end up pretty light.

Now do I use Troy flip ups I already have, or buy KAC 45* offsets?
And mount the scout light or no?

Sounds good to me. Mine is close to yours except I use a 12.5" barrel and Centurion rail. I used a Troy Flip Up Front Sight, but a Brownell's Rear.

There's too much mass at the end of the gun to consider it light. 24-25oz between the M42k and mount, and a VFG that weighs a half pound. The 31F is a good compromise for distance/BAC CQB type shooting, but for a lightweight gun I'd go with a 10.5" pencil contour and and a Troy 9 rail. The Larue gas block might be a good choice but if it's designed to cover FSB pins there's no reason to have it on a new BCM barrel.
Add the Scout light and sights I know that gun is going to be 8lbs empty.
Light is right. Every ounce counts. Ounces equal pounds and pounds equal pain.
To truly lighten it go with a Streamlight TLR or Surefire X series, a Troy Extreme/Alpha type rail (or the KAC), and a lighter suppressor unless you already have the M42k.
Aimpoint optic, unless you absolutely need a magnified optic.
Well, that's the thing- I already have most of it. In fact, the only thing I bought was the rail and tube.
Will ditch the sights and light, and FUG, only wanted it for a place to put the tape switch.
