I sent out a Form 1 for Saiga 12 SBS at 11 3/8" on 11-4-11 and I don't have it back yet. I recently gained anytime access to a vert mill and lathe, so I decided to amend the Form 1 to 8". I wrote and sent the written request for the amended length on 3-22-12. I got it back 4-3-12 and it looks like I am GTG 8" when the Form 1 is approved and in hand. I was blown away that I got confirmation of the amended length back so soon. I can only hope that I see the approved 1 in May as I have anticipated. Whoever is processing the length amendments at the NFA Branch.... a HUGE +1 to you

You saved me a lot of stress and worry. I'm dying to build that 8" !

Not trying to hijack, just didnt think this is new thread worthy.
I was approved for my first SBR March 17th 2012. I had forgotten I originally listed 11.5" barrel length, purchased a 10.5" as soon as I got my approved stamp back, re-read my paperwork and almost crapped my pants.
I sent my permanent change of barrel length letter March 27 and received a personalized reply with ATF letter head and date stamp for April 4th today in the mail. Holy crap what the heck ?! Too bad it took 6 months to get the stamp!
