Has anyone ever used a upper from them? I was goofing around on the internet and cam up with this website, I believe it would be a pretty neat upper to put on a SBR lower. Im thinking of getting a 6in and doing a suppressed 5.7 upper for my soon to be SBR along with my 7.5in, and 10.5in uppers

They are fun. I recently had the barrel on mine cut to 7" to run suppressed, but I haven't gotten the suppressor yet.

Do you have this upper? If you do is it of good quality?

I assume you are talking about the AR57 upper. That is what I have been using and the quality is pretty good. I feel the rail is a little heavy and I would prefer a .600 barrel profile to save weight, but that is really just being nit picky. The buffer provided does not have any reciprocating weight. I have thought about having a custom buffer cut that would have some reciprocating weight and be slightly longer. This would shorten the stroke and increase the cyclic rate, the only issue that I forsee would be outrunning the magazine. The run will well and they are easy to bump fire. I enjoy mine.

I had the 12, now its a 7" If you plan on going suppressed you may as well get the short barrel. If you know it is going to be awhile before you get a suppressor then get the 12 and have it cut down once you get your suppressor, that way you can still shoot it while your waiting for the Can.

You also need to remember that there are a limited number of cans that fit under the hand guards. I have a buddy who is a manufactures and he is cutting one for me.

Could you not run a 6-7in unsuppressed?

You could but the open barrel is under the mag and midway through the rail/handguard. I don't want to try it because I am worried about damage to the magazine or accidently putting my hand to far forward.

Or another option that would be cheaper in the long run.

Get the short one now and put a 5.5" flashider or a Spikes fake can on it to get it out past the handguard and wait on your supressor. Once you get it you could always sell the flashider or fake can and screw your real can right on. Cheaper in the longrun and ready to go as soon as you get your forms back.
