I won't put a buttstock mag pouch on any of my rifles for the simple reason that it makes weak-side sight accquisition almost impossible.
You are MUCH more likely to need to shoot weak-side than need that mag. Strap a spare mag to the handguard, your leg, or anywhere else. You might be wounded, or going around a right-hand corner. Want that damn mag+pouch in your way between you and your sights?
Sucker gear. No offense, you're certainly not the first.
No offense taken and you make an excellent point.
I have never really considered the finer points of getting into a fight with my Mini14. That's not really the reason I have it, but good point nevertheless.

Well, no offense intended, despite my poorly-chosen language.
Check this out
This is a nice stock pack, but I'm not 100% sure a mini's mag will fit right.

Not all of us keep a loaded mag
in the rifle, so the mag isn't a "spare". A stock pouch is a good way to keep a mag
with the rifle for storage. I use standard Ar15 fixed stock pouch with my Minis.

That's pretty much the way I use it. The mag in the pouch is not a spare, it is THE mag when the gun is carried in the back of my vehicle.
Specter Gear makes one specifically for the Mini & 20-rounder.
I don't have one of those on mine, but I have one of their CQB slings on my Mini and a thigh holster for my P89D.
Is good to go.
