What claw rail mount are you using on your MP5?

I have the HK 22LR version, but I'm hoping that whatever has been working for other models, will work for mine. So far I took a shot in the dark and purchased an UTG mount, and the legs do not secure correctly. One side keeps sliding off the other because of the angle the legs are cut. Just a budget claw that securely mounts preferred, if that even exists.

I'm using this one on both my MP5 clones, I had to do hit them up with the dremel to get a good fit though, have held up pretty good.

I did buy one of the cheapo (chinese?) mounts off of ebay for my GSG-5, that thing was complete junk. It ended up falling apart.

Any cheaper options here? It's a 500$ rifle, so spending $100+ on a rail doesnt make much sense to me.

I have been using a B&T 10266 because I had a leftover one from a mp5 clone that I sold. its a little overkill on a .22 but its really low, and allows a perfect co-witness with any of the aimpoint m3 clones.

I was looking for a cheaper version and was directed to THIS, I've not ordered one yet, so I cant comment on quality.

I ordered the Classic Army claw mount for my HK mp5 A5, and when I tried to install it one of the claws snapped off. The metal was so weak that I could literally tear chunks of it off with my fingers.
Dont know if I just got a bad casting or what. I need a claw mount and I really liked the look of the CA one, but I dont want to waste another $30 on it.

I have one on my K clone, and so far it's been pretty good. It's held zero for about 500 rounds.

I only paid $25, so I figured I didn't have much to lose!

I went ahead and ordered another one, this time from a US vendor. I have also tried installing a NCSTAR mount and it was such a tight fit, that I couldn't cycle the bolt back.

That looks a lot like the one I bought for my GSG..
Mine cracked in half along the side of the mount, it might have been another dud, but I wont be wasting more money on the "cheapo" mounts.. (even though the MFI are cheap compared to the German claw mounts/Brugger&Thomet mounts)

Almost all aftermarket rails for HK roller-lock guns are made based on U.S. clones that do not have the proper geometry cut into the tabs. The only onse I have come across, other than the high-rise return-to-zero claw mounts, that are made correctly are the B&T's and some of the B&T knock-offs. That said, models like the MFI that have sharp hooks will bite in and stay on if mounted and secured carefully.

I have the Classic Army low-profile mount and a Primary Arms Micro Red Dot on my rifle. It is similar to the setup I am running on my full-size MP5 (B&T HKLPA Long Mount and Aimpoint Micro T-1) for a fraction of the cost. The Classic Army mount is nowhere near as sturdy as the B&T mount but it is good enough to handle the recoil of the .22LR. I've shot thousands of rounds through it (used it on both my HK MP5A5 .22LR and GSG-5) and have not had any problems.

Anyway, here are the required pics:

This is the one I use:

Works fine with a Primary Arms Micro. Put over a few thousand rounds with no issue.
