 Palmetto State Armory (Customer Service)

Has anyone had issues with Palmetto State Armory and their customer service ( or lack of)? I ordered some (In Stock) items such as ammo and other off the shelf items and they advertised 1-2 day shipping. I can understand them being behind and I realize that uppers, lowers or other machined parts take extra time, but my biggest complaint is their lack of customer service when contacted. I've called the so-called customer contact # 9-5 EST and I always get a machine message and the voice mailbox is full, so you can't even leave a message. I emailed and they responded the first time with some bogus (the check is in the mail) response about the order being shipped that day. After several more days I emailed again and guess what, no response from PSA. I guess they don't want to deal with anyone that isn't 100% satisfied. I live in North Carolina, you'd think I could expect quick shipping from South Carolina. Again, My main complaint is not getting a response back and not being able to contact customer service for answers. PSA has good prices, but good customer service is what keeps customers coming back. I doubt I'll give them any more of my hard earned money!

Seems to be a fairly common complaint.

the first stack of lowers i bought, i never received calls back, shipping info, nothing. i finally got through and talked with a very frustrated guy trying to keep up with stripped lower orders. i have had great luck with ammo and and misc...items, but getting ahold of a live person seems to be kinda tuff. i'm willing to give some slack, they offer very high quality at a VERY reasonable price, for that i can be patient

I have had nothing but excellent service from PSA. Like all good things, a little patience is required. PSA is super swamped with orders. They have expanded their warehouse and staff to keep up. The more the expand, the more busy they become.

Order with confidence, just don't expect to receive it in a week.

I ordered a lpk which is an in stock item. The "my account" page isted it as pending for about 3 1/2 days before I could track it with the UPS tracking number. All told and because of a weekend in there it

took 9 days door to door. Yea, fairly slow compared to a Primary Arms or Rainier. It's not a big deal since this time frame is about what I expected.

Palmetto is gtg albeit a little slow.

I know when I ordered an LPK from PSA I never received any confirmation, but everything shipped relatively quickly and for an excellent price.

However, I was missing a pivot pin detent and had a damaged spring, and they quickly responded to my issues via email and shipped out the missing/damaged parts free of charge.

I had a similar problem. Ordered the item and my account said the order was "processing" until the day I received it. Just received the items today but, they look as expected and I plan to give them a try on Sunday! For the price, it was worth the wait.

I'm moving this. Sorry but it doesn't belong in a tech forum and yes I am aware that they have complaints about shipping and don't answer the phone Kind of odd a place with so many orders that they can't keep up can't afford a girl to answer the phone and take messages

Or I guess someone else is moving it while I type

You mean it came with a missing detent and damaged spring and you're happy they didn't charge you extra to fix that?

I know that patience is not a vertue I was blessed with, but I can't understand why I company wouldn't hire some more help to answer phones or respond to emails. A little stroking goes a long way sometimes.

Well of course! I'm easily pleased ;)

Obviously I expected the shipping/replacements to be free of charge, but what I was trying to highlight is how quickly they responded to the issue via email. The replacement parts got here faster than my initial order.

So if I run over your mailbox drunk coming home from the bars you'll sing my praises when I put up a new mailbox the next day :p

Seriously, accepting responsibility for fucking up and straightening it out gracefully is hard for lots of people. Glad every thing turns out for the best.

I definitely won't be ordering from them again. First order took forever. Last two orders were within past month. First one I didn't get an email or hear a word for a week. I tried to call to cancel order but got nothing but voicemail. I emailed per voicemail to cancel order. Two days after I emailed I finally got a phone call to tell me they didn't even have the 6.8 ammo I had ordered but were going to replace with sub. Sub ammo wasn't even close. I asked why they hadn't cancelled order like I requested. No explanation but order finally cancelled

Second order was same story. Website showed ammo I wanted so I ordered. Almost week later I finally get called only to be told they had an inventory error. We agreed on replacement but i asked if my order could be expedited. They said yes and that my order wold ship that day. BS! It finally shipped two days later.

I'll find a new source.

Using the excuse "We're swamped with orders" as a reason not to get back to customers,
ship out orders in a timely manner, or emptying your voicemail box so someone can just
leave a message is BS!

I've got a simple idea...if you guys are soo damn busy, HIRE MORE PEOPLE!

A 2 year old could figure out that if you have more work than your current employees
can handle that you need MORE EMPLOYEES!

I don't care how damn good your prices are or how great your quality is,
if I can't get my order shipped in a reasonable time frame or can't get anyone to
answer the phone or respond to emails regarding my order...I'm going to buy
from someone else that has their shit together!

Yep. And posts that are not absolutely 100% positive tend to disappear from their threads. I've got $20 for anyone, besides Site Staff, that can find my post #3999. It was in PSA's "Official Where's my order" thread.

They cannot remove individual posts from threads. The moderator of a section can trash a whole thread or edit out the contents of a post but not delete a post from a thread

Aimless, with all due respect, and I have a lot of respect for you, where is my post #3999?

Hell, I'll donate another $100 to Wounded Warrior Project if you will quote it in this thread and can honestly tell me someone didn't shitcan it. For some silly reason, I trust you, even though you're a lawyer I've never met.

ETA: You said Mods could not delete a post from a thread. Can Staff or Senior Staff delete individual posts from a thread? Only a fool would believe that Admin could not.

Your # 3999 post was not in the official "where's my order" thread. It was in a thread entitled "Wrong E-Mail Sent" which PSA started

We accidentally sent out an email stating that our Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 TMCQ MOA Retical was $99.99. Although we would love to sell our products quickly and at the lowest cost possible, the price that was listed was a mistake. We have resent a new email updating the price. Sorry about that everyone! Have a nice 3 day weekend.

You made two posts in that thread the second was 3999

You know what, you may be right. But not this time. Those words belong to PSA's Rep, not me.

But just for shits and giggles, how about a link to the thread, just to show all the rest of the folks here what a jackass I can be?

Aimless, I'll give you this... As long as I've been lurking, then signed up here, you've been a damn good voice of reason (this is gonna hurt) even though you're a lawyer. You seem to have a real steady head and make pretty good calls on BS claims like the one I've just.... nah.. My claim wasn't BS!!!
