Magpul Rail Panel Group Buy! PANELS ARE IN AND SHIPPING MONDAY!!!

The Rail Panel group buy is a go! This group buy will run for one month at which point everyone will have 10 days to get their payment in if they haven't already done so. Below is all the information and dates. The price represents a 20% discount and is the lowest price you'll find on these panels.
Group Buy Information
Price: $9.56 per panel with a minimum order of 4 panels
Shipping: Flat $3.85 per order (within the US & Canada)
Colors: Black, OD Green, Desert Tan & Coyote Brown
Group Buy End Date: Sunday, September 19, 2004
Payment Received Cutoff: Monday, September 27, 2004
Ship Date: All order shipped by Saturday, October 2, 2004
This group buy will cover both the XT full panels and the low profile ladder type panels as well. The minimum order is four panels, but you can mix and match between panel types and colors.
The $3.85 shipping fee is for the entire order, regardless of the quantity. Four panels or four hundred, the shipping is still $3.85. If shipping international the shipping fee will vary. Email me for an exact quote.
The group buy ends on 09/19/04 and no orders can be added after this date. So if you want in you need to get your name on the list before 12:00 midnight on the 17th.
Payment must be received by 09/27/04. You can pay at any time during the group buy but your payment must be received by the 27th. Payments will not be deposited or CC's charged until the payment cutoff date.
All orders will be shipped within 5 days of the payment cutoff.

Cool I've been ordering these one or two at a time with other orders. I'm not sure what others will want, but I would think a 3 or 4 pack would cover most folks, then maybe an and "add a panal" deal or something. If a ten pack was in there, I'd probably be down with that too.

Hmph, I may be in for a few depending on the price. As long as you can swing a good deal, the specific number per pack doesn't matter much to me. I suspect most people would like either a 3 or 4 pack, but if a 10 pack gets the price down further, I may be in for that.

I think that 10 packs would be too many. However, we could just do a minimum order of 4 per person and then you could add on as many additional panels as you would like. The price should be less than $10 per panel and will be at a set price regardless of quantity. So we'd be looking at a minimum order of about $40 including shipping.

That's in line with what I was hoping for. Since it'll have to be the same color a pack of 4 would seem logical and that price would be in line too. Then you could order more packs with different colors. Allowing additional rails would be icing on the cake.

No, sir they do not. They go on the rails on the hand guards, if you have them.

Ok guys, here's what we've worked out. We can make these available for $9.56 per panel with a minimum order of 4 per person and you'll be able to add as many additional rails as you want to your order. They will be available in all colors (black, od, coyote brown and desert tan) in both the XT full panels pictured above and the low profile ladder type panels.
You can mix and match however you would like as far as colors and type and there will be a flat shipping rate of $3.85 per order for 2-3 day delivery.
As soon as I get the A-OK from staff I'll get this thing started up. Any questions just let me know.

What is the length of these rail panels? I know that they're designed to be cut to length, but I need to know if they're at least mid length carbine (9"). Magpul's site information didn't appear to be to specific in this regard.

The XT panels are approximately 7" long. One panel will fit perfectly on a carbine length rail, such as the Knights M4 RAS. So you would need one panel plus a little more for a 9" rail. The low profile ladder type panels are a little longer (an inch or maybe two), but I don't have any in front of me right now so I can't give you the exact length, but I'll update later today when I get back and have a chance to measure one.

The rails are made to fit a carbine length rail, so for a full length you will need one full rail and a portion of another.

No they don't. The desert tan USMC stocks are about the color of coyote brown and desert tan mixed. The tan panels are a lighter shade. I'll get some pictures posted.

Troy - The total length of an XT panel is 6.25" and it will exactly cover a carbine length rail. The segments are 13/16" long.
The low profile ladder panels are 6 7/8" long. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I am new to these type of rail covers. What is the texture like and how would the attach to a KAC M4 RAS? Are they rubberized or hard plastic? Do they press into the rails or slide and lock like the KAC covers?

You can see the texture on the pics at the top. I can't really explain it much better than that
The feel of them is a cross between rubber and plastic. One panel will work perfectly with each rail on the M4 RAS. They do not slide onto the rail, they "clip on" and have "cross members" that fit into the groves to prevent them from moving once attached.
I hope that helps you understand them a little better.
