Colt AR15A2 pre-ban R6551 for sale

I have a 1991-92 Colt pre-ban R6551 that I would like to sell and replace it with a 6940. It was owned since new by a large security department. I understand that this is a collectable rifle. My intent was to go with a shorter barrel and a collapable stock, but I don't want to screw up it's value if someone would like to have it in their collection. I'm not interested in collecting. Sale price is $1200.00.
