Full Auto Ruger 10/22.... anybody with experience?
Anybody have any experience with building a full auto (open OR closed bolt) Ruger 10/22? I will be building it under an SOT, so, I'm not looking at buying an $8000 Norrell trigger pack or anything of that nature. I'm talking about manufacturing one. I know there are manuals that you can download, but, I'd really like to LEARN how.
Thoughts?
Advice?
Warnings? (Please, no "make sure you know what you are doing with the NFA weapons, or, "that's illegal; you can't do that."
Looking for some serious responses here. (I'm sure that one just opened up the "sarcasm can"... bring it on, lol
Thanks!
Also, HOW can I TAG this so it sends me a message, email, or something to let me know that this thread was updated?
You have to either:
1. Have a 10-22 receiver that was registered FA before the 86 legislation passed, or
2. Be a firearms manufacturer, or,
3. Pony up for an allready registered weapon.
I hope you didn't think that was sarcastic.
If you have a receiver I would contact Tactical Machining in DeLand. They make 10/22 parts and are a mil spec AR manufacturer.
ETA- Re-read disregard top stuff and call TM.

Or be an SOT and manufacture a post sample, kind of like the OP said in his first line.
The only thing I can contribute is that the one I shot had the bolt modified to add an anti-bounce weight behind it to lessen bolt bounce. It was built on an AMT stainless receiver. Lots of fun but I don't know anything else about the mechanics of the conversion.
Contact Tom at
Thermo Arms Inc. in Pinellas Park, he is an SOT and has built one. I've fired it and it runs as flawlessly as the mags will allow.

Tell him I pointed you in his direction.
There's no way I know of for a non-Team member to "tag" a thread other than bookmarking it to your harddrive.

Ditto... I've ran a bunch of mags through it with cheap ammo and it was flawless!

Only team members can tag. Best you can do is bookmark the page as a non-team member. Make sure you post pics or vid when you get done so I can live vicariously through you. I'd love a FA 10/22!
Also, you really are not going to get much in the way of details on HOW to do it. That could and has been seen as conspiracy to commit federal firearms violations. Anyone with the know how that doesn't KNOW you, and that you are an SOT won't want to take the chance that you are legit, especially on an open public forum. YMMV

Are you really the one to call someone out for reading comprehension?

Due to the fact that I corrected my mistake with an add, and put in my advice for the OP, yes.
In other words, way to bag on someone for something they have allready corrected themselves, Captian Obvious.

Gentlemen this isn't General Discussion.
Thank you, Cycletool, and Osprey, for heading me in the right direction.
