Shooters, we will again gather at the Sandusky County Sportsmans Club for the September Shotgun special shoot. Dust off the buckshot blaster and join the fun.

September requirements.
Shotgun and Pistol with holster
300 rounds pistol ammunition
300 rounds birdshot
20 rounds buckshot (a few more if you want to shoot extra patterns.)
10 slugs

And yes it is a holiday weekend!

Edit to add that I just noticed someone made me a Team Member again. Thanks so much!!! There are so many great people on this forum!

Don't worry. I doubt we will use all 300 bird, but running out sucks and you still get to keep your leftovers.

Make sure you bring all your pistol rounds. Just for Bradleybuilt we will have a decent bit of pistol stuff so your poor shoulder gets a break.

oh boy, this should be interesting.

I need to scrounge up some buckshot and slugs - sure not going to use the low-recoil stuff.

So no Carbine needed for the Black Swamp Carbine shoot?

I've been trying to make it out for one of these for ever, and something with the family always comes up.

Who knows, maybe I'll surprise you all.

You saying you have a Saga that will actually work for that many rounds? That's rare in my experience.

That said, yes I have a Benelli that can malfunction a lot.

I didn't say it was a perfect Saiga. It give's people a chance to do malfunction drills every once in a while. At least Jim will be there to see it if it happens since he built it for me.

With that high of a round count, what is the course of fire going to be? Lots of steel plates and poppers?

COF's are not posted. We recommend 300 rifle 300 pistol each month. Some months you will shoot more than others.

Shotgun ammo count is just a bit more to account for the three popular types of rounds.

Like I posted above, bring enough ammo. Running out sucks and you get to take home the leftovers.

Should I bring some steel plates? They dont work well in the soft ground/wood chips but in the dirt they should stand thier ground with pistol ammo and birdshot.

Your call. I'm sure we can find a way to use them.
