Need NFA Trust Lawyer in SW Ohio

I would like to get my first SBR going. I've read a NFA Trust is the way to go. I'm having trouble finding a lawyer that is familiar with a NFA Trust. I live between Dayton and Cincy, so either direction would work.

What paperwork can I do on my end before meeting a lawyer to get the process started? As far as the Trust is concerned it's just my wife, baby girl and I. I know there are different types of Trusts and I'm unsure which is best for me.

Get Quicken WillMaker Deluxe 2011 that includes Trust and do it yourself.

Debrosse (spelling) in Columbus is the only lawyer I can find. He charges $600 to set it up when I emailed him.

This topic interests me as well...I'm looking to set one up for a suppressor purchase.

Peabody in Dayton apparently helps with this. $600 seems high for providing a blank template to fill in.

+1

I did mine with Quicken in 2007. Has worked out just fine for a grand total of $30, IIRC.

No problem. The software gives the trust a big, long name by default, and you can't change it. I had to export the file, then open it with word, and edit it to what I wanted. If you ever want to do a Form 1 for something, like maybe a short barreled rifle, you have to engrave the name on it, so it matters. Anyway, make sure you change it everywhere in the trust. Three places, for mine.

Greetings, trying to due the NFA Trust on Quicken, question is do we list NFA Articles as the first thing to show on the Schedule A and then the specific item with description as item, or just list the specific item in this case a sound suppressor 2?
Thanks
James

I've also been batting around the Trust for NFA idea. A buddy of mine from MI just did it and he had to 'register' his trust with the .gov. Any provision similar to this in OH? I was under the impression that a notary stamp was all the involvment an outsider had to have in the process. ???

Some states require it. Ohio does not.

Spitzer Law Firm

Found this also. Says they're in South Euclid Ohio.
