Troy Fish & Game?

So its been prolly 4 or 5 months since I've done some shooting at the Fish & Game. I knew the F & G has had trouble with some idiot shooting at a transformer on a power pole behind the berm.
I get there today and I see shooting is by appointment only with a phone number on the bottom of the sign. Okay I can see the sign in and out list but shooting by appointment only?

I was out there before the weather set in, just after ding dong actions,, and range officer placed on range.. I walked out and fella come up behind me with clip board wanting to see card, and get my name, and what I was shooting.
I have not been back since due mostly to weather.

Well, I took kids for drive, we drove through the lot to have a look,, YEP, phone number and shoot by appt.. there was a family out on 25yd when we drove by..
Maybe we need to drag them out in some crappy weather for a shoot appt

UPDATE –– May 3 - 2011
I went to the member' meeting, another fella broght up the range thing.. I followed his question, with my own, preceeded with the note that I have not been on range since late Oct/early Nov just after the event.. Told them I did stop by on way home from work a couple hr earlier, and walked the range.
If you want to shoot, you can, you dont need to call in most respect now, but just be courtesy, as it was done mainly for the Mon/Tue that club closed..
I ask, all I have to do is just leave message that I intend to be on range that day,, I will just call and give card number, and they can have a nice day. Roger the ground guy sort of knows me, as I am fella with range card in an orange license holder on belt loop, and my name is printed on card using printer.
