OK, it has to be said.
First of all staying on topic of the OHIO room. I want to address gun shows. Specifically those that attend the OHIO gun shows.
Now this is going to be a bite of a RANT. But it might be funny to some of you,And might piss some of you off. And if your one of the latter, Then its easy to fix.
Step1.
TAKE A F____NG BATH, WASH YOUR STINKING ASS, PUT ON CLEAN "YES CLEAN THAT DAY, NOT WORN BEFORE" CLOTHES
Step 2.
BRUSH YOUR ROTTEN TOTH/TEETH.
Step 3.
PUT ON FOOT WEAR THAT DOESN'T HAVE THE CRAP ALL OVER IT FROM WHAT EVER ANIMAL OR BEAST YOU KEEP AS FUTURE FOOD, OR AS PET, OR IN SOME CASE'S A SEX PARTNER.
Step 4. Well I think that's enough at this time. Lets start with that and see what we get.
Please note the post time of this tread. Sometime these things just come to me in the middle of what I wish was sleep.

You'll find very little, if any of that at a OGCA show.
I've been going to gun shows for about three decades and I have NOT found this to be the norm. My problem with posts like this is that it cast a negative stereotype about all gun owners. Someone that doesn't know better, like the media or non gun owner, will read this and believe all this shit. In some circles we as gun owners are already viewed as stupid, unwashed rednecks. Posts like these prove they are right because it's coming from a gun owner.
No I don't think this post is funny or pissed me off. It makes me sad that another gun owner would post it.

I've only been to a handful of gun shows and unfortunately this indeed did seem to be the standard for the ones I attended. Big part of the reason I don't go to shows anymore...
That and if you actually find something nice and buy it, you get stopped every 15 seconds by every Schmoe you pass who will offer you half what it's worth.
I dont do gunshows much anymore myself..but only because most seem to be way crowded and there really isnt any deals at the shows that I couldnt match or even better in the local shops.

Absolutely, couldnt agree with you more!!!
Hey pal, I resemble those remarks!
You all have seen nothing until you have set up a table at a gunshow. Those who have had tables at gunshow will know exactly what I'm talking about.
sadly alot of the ppl with the tables fit this criteria as well!!
Vances smells like that on a warm summer day inside
While this is the common reputation for gun shows I've not really noticed it at all. Maybe my tolerance is greater?
My pet peeve at gun shows (and other venues) is the oblividiots who bring baby strollers with them. Some are 6 feet long!

To further draw out the smell, most guns shows seem to end up being about 95 degrees inside the building

+ 11 T billion
Said people with baby strollers expect everybody to get out of their way.
I'm thankful we can still have them.

Strollers are precisely why I used a backpack to carry both of my kids to gun shows. They got a much better view of what was going on. It was safer for them (no chance of getting whacked with a gun barrel or spilled coffee). Since they were right beside my ear, we could easily talk about what we were looking at. They started at 6 months and continued through 3 years. After that, they walked till they got tired and then I carried them. Until I got tired... Which brings me to the future- I fully expect my son to put me in his backpack and carry me around when I'm too infirm to walk. Then I'll get to drool on his head.
Chuck- I couldn't agree with you more on the stroller thing. I call them the "SUV strollers" You need a Yukon XL to transport them folded up. And yes, I have small children also. But I also try to visit the shows (If I have to have the kids) on the off times. When the crowd is less, After 2pm. It doesn't always work out that there is more room for young children. But it seems to help. And the back pack idea helps on the under 24 months age. But over that its tuff keeping them in there long.
Also the worst show around here is that Summit show for the "just out of the barn crowd". Sometimes Niles, But the Akron show seems to be the flea market show. I'll say it's gotten a little better in the last year. But still has a ways to go. And yes I'll agree the smell sometimes comes from both side of the tables. There's been a few tables in the past that have gotten a "Reputation" One in particular is now gone from the shows. Don't know why. But all I'll say is his size and smell of rotting flesh may have caught up to him and WON!!!!!
BTW to the Pissed Of Guy in the above post. I'll skip what I want to say in the interest of COC. I'll just give you the old WV. joke saying. " That's nice"
WOW! You guys cryin' about a few ripe gun nuts would never make it long at deer camp!

I quit going to gun shows because of the ridiculous prices

Well I can agree with you on some of the stuff. Most of the items I'm looking for at a show are just firearm related. Unless I'm looking for a used weapon its just the little stuff and good priced ammo. With everyone having access to gun broker and other web sites the price of used and even new weapons are pretty close to market price. Even the one's walking around.
The patriot gun show was okay the first few times I have been to it. Now it's a joke. You will not find something priced remotely close to value. Plus it reeks of body odor

I have not bathed in a few weeks, my nuts smell, and I have some really dirty/smelly shoes....whens tha' next gun show???!!!!! Cant wait to go!!!!!!!

Bingo ! Everytime I go to a show I ask myself why I just burned up all that time. I can find anything I'm looking for on the Internet cheaper. As for the complaints about body odor, you're starting to remind me of Stinky Reid and his comments about visitors in DC. I have never noticed the stench you describe.
Yeah, I find deals here and there but far between. Ammo is about all I get there. I find 17HMR, Win,M22 .22lr, and some odd ball stuff like 9x18mak cheap.

I have never experienced this stench either but I haven't been to a gun show in a few yearsmaybe showers went out of style after I stopped going to gun shows?
