The Low Light Suppressor-only shoots at NHRPC are kicking off 3/3/12. These consist of practical style carbine shooting and longer distance precision shooting in a variety of lighting conditions. The targets are illuminated with white light, green laser designator, or are back-lit. You are never shooting at a target you cannot clearly identify. An NFA registered sound suppressor is required. Remember to bring a copy of your paperwork.

We are meeting for safety briefing and setup at 1630 in the club house. There will be courses of fire for precision, carbine, and if you have a suppressed pistol, you are encouraged to bring that too.

$20 members, $30 guests.

Online registration required:

I want to go to this event, but my AAC M4 2000 is down. The latch is messed up. I hope to have it back, but I seriously doubt I will have it back in time. When is the next one?

First Saturday of every month. If there's a sign up thread posted here in the HTF, Snipershide, & pafoa it means the match is running. If there is no posting, that means it's not running because staff isn't available.

You need to have shot with us prior in a daytime match if you are not a club member.

You would need to come and shoot one of the monthly rifle-only matches. Contagion is a special event and would not count because it is so large and distributed, none of the staff who runs the low light stuff would remember you.

Okay, now I remember you. I was the one who spoke with you. Yup, you are good to go.

The CQB/Carbine stage targets are definitely do-able with irons and white light on the rifle depending on your skill level, but it will be challenging. The long range ones, no. We would not even let someone shoot that portion without a magnified optic.

These are a little different in that we actually encourage people to check zero before the match starts. Ordinarily this is forbidden, but for the night suppressor match we actually prefer that people do.

I am glad you remember me. I have a Acog 4x32, a Aimpoint T1 & Aimpoint Comp M3 with a 3x mag. Is 3x and 4x enough mag for the long range?

No, by long range stuff I mean more like 'precision bolt guns.' You are fine for anything we do with an AR.

The CQB CoF is all done under either vehicle headlights, or white light on the gun (recommended). The CQB CoF goes out to 200Y where we will typically shoot a round of movers right AT sunset. So you get to shoot in three different light conditions. Sweet light, twilight, and full darkness.

Yeah, I do remember BS'ing with you after contagion and I remembered you shooting too.

I hope people do not take it personally but we want non-member invitees to prove themselves in the daylight first before they are invited out to these. You don't have to rock a bad ass score, but we want to see perfect safe handling skills and 100% adherence to safety rules all day long. Understandably, the suppressor night shoots have extra safety protocols, and even extra equipment requirements. Adding these to a shooter who is already well at ease in a match environment is no problem at all.

I didnt take it personal at all. No one wants a unsafe shooting f*cking it up for the rest of us. I thought you would remember me I was one of what 3 people who had can`s on their rifles at the event. I was the only one who shot the long range stage with a sbr and hit all the targets. I do remember us talking, and I want to join the club, but I live so far away. I think I might join anyways, just because you guys have longer ranged steel targets. Most private ranges charge out the ass, and have nothing but boring cardboard backings.

I am seriously thinking about joining. I have a public range 5 minutes from my house with ranges out to 300 yards, but I am a big fan of steel targets. The private ranges I used to be a member of did not up the ranges. Easton fish and game is one that back in the late 90`s had steel targets for pistol and rifle. They started charging more for fees, but never replaced the steel targets. So I contacted them several times, my complaints fell on deaf ears. So basically 10 of us refused to go there, and then it grew to 25. So with the lack of a good shooting range within a hour of my house I just started going to the game lands.
