Going to Oregon in two weeks, is a WA CPL valid?
Is a WA CPL valid in Oregon? I have a trip coming up soon and wondered if I need to unload before I cross the border.

Not valid.

Looks like OR is an open carry state, except in some specific cities:
Although open carry is technically correct, people need to keep in mind that the liberals in Portland, Salem, Eugene usually have such a strong majority that they carry state elections and get more liberals elected. As a result of this liberal thinking, although open carry might be technically legal, police almost always find a reason to tell you that you can't do that. "You are causing alarm", or "people feel threatened", and similar statements are used to tell you why you can't open carry around libtard areas. Other areas like Pendleton, Burns, Baker City, and so on where more common sense reigns, you might have a better chance at not being bothered by it.
I can pretty certainly tell you that if you try to eat in any restaurant in the Willamette valley, they will throw you out if you try to open carry...the same thing applies to almost any store.

Genin, thanks for the info. It's always good to hear from people who have observed reality in-person, vs. just reading what the law says.

Just an elaboration that the non-resident CHL is at sheriff's discretion, unlike the resident CHL which is shall issue.
