I had a 357 mag on my hip today when my Wife and I went to vote. No comments or funny looks. I am not even sure if any one noticed. Yes it was open carry.
I know some of the poll workers have seen me walking the dogs or taking stuff to the recycling center when I was carrying in the past.

I was not. But, my polling place is in a grade school.

Not that it really mattered that I even went at all, not a single person I voted for won office.

Mine is a 100+ yr old one room schoolhouse surrounded by potato fields and/or woods... but it's NOT posted. Neither is the neighboring township. Over there, the township chairman and 2 of the 4 board members were in the same CC class I was in. We all mailed in our CHL apps on the 1st day. If they post the building, they can't carry "at work".

From the feeling I've gathered in the past few years, this area is "rural left". They don't beleive in all the big city liberal ideas, but make no mistake, they are liberal. Lot of recall walker signs, failed to recall Julie Lassa (fled for IL), many pro-union, pro farm subsidy types.

Meh.

Jackson County in a nutshell. Have to drive into Clark County before I see any "No Recall" signage.

I drove from Eagle River to Green Bay, and back, last weekend. Hardly saw any "Recall" signs, but I did see a LOT of "We Stand with Walker" type signs. Probably a 20-1 pro ratio!!! From Pelican Lake in southern Oneida, to the Antigo area in Langlade, and down through Wittenberg, pro Walker signs were abundant. Once on the 4 lane (Hwy 29), there weren't many signs of any kind, and not many yard signs in Green Bay, that I noticed.

BTW... the area between Shawano & Green Bay was loaded with canada geese. I was too busy "bird-watching" to look for political signage. Some fields had flocks numbering in the thousands.... my trigger finger was itching badly.

Even in Dane County I see some "Stand with Walker" signs in people's yards. I'm pretty impressed as that takes some nads to advertise that here in the lion's den.

Sounds a lot like Lafayette county. When the largest employer in the county IS the county, there are plenty of people with their hand out wanting more.

Biggest brass ones for the guy I've seen who has it on his truck's back window in large white lettering... In Madison.

mine is in a courthouse. which is plastered with no weapons signs as well as no CCW sign along with the statute. so i obeyed the unconstitutional "law" and disarmed before voting.

What kills me is that it was BIG news that there were clandestine meetings and an alternate agenda from the county board when the judge didn't get his way.. That it actually made the paper.. Good for him for calling the cronies out on their BS..
How they get away with some of the things they do is beyond me..

I'm just "testing" the waters to see how many times I can vote during the recall election.

It is a new rule i just made it up. Your votes in the recall only count if they match the same number of times your name is on the recall petition.
